Mark T. McCoy Jr., 52, of Portland, passed away on October 14, 2021. He was born in Portland, to Mark McCoy Sr. and Audrey “Celeste” Johnson, and was raised with three brothers, Aaron, Gabriel and Tyler. Mark graduated from Woodland High School and joined the US Army. Following his time in service he earned a Masters Degree in Sports Psychology. He had been heavily involved in the Landmark community. Mark met the love of his life Rubyann Rhodes, while attending college, they got married December 4, 1993 and together raising three young children. Mark will be remembered for being a great husband and father. He had a radiant passion for life and was committed to making the world more united. He was always inspiring people, available to anyone who needed him and above all a friend to anyone. Mark was preceded in death by Dad Mark Sr., Mom Patsy; he is survived by his wife of 27 years, Rubyann; Children, Ryan, Brielle and Alexander; Brothers, Aaron, Gabriel and Tyler. He leaves behind a host of friends and family to cherish his memory. A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, October 22 at 2pm with a viewing at 1pm at Sunnyside Funeral, Cremation and Memorial Gardens, 11667 SE Stevens Rd. Happy Valley, OR. He will be laid to rest at Willamette National Cemetery.
